The Zinfandel Championship competition is presented by the Pittsburg Arts & Community Foundation and culminates with a dinner hosted by Discovery Homes. Every Zinfandel producer in California is invited to participate.

Wines entered will be given the distinction of Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Double Gold, as well as Best Value (wines priced under $20/bottle) during two rounds of blind tasting by a diverse panel of judges from all segments of the wine world. The four wineries earning Double Gold honors will be invited to receive their awards in person at a fundraising dinner in September as guests of the Pittsburg Arts and Community Foundation. On that evening, a final round of blind tasting will take place, and the Grand Champion will be awarded!
